More specifically, Experian is looking for a professional with experience on data and technology to join a dynamic internal audit team that believes collaboration, and natural curiosity are keys to success. GIA partners with operations to identify areas of risk, share valuable insight and recommendations on processes and promoting changes to better mitigate business risks.

You will report directly to the Global Internal Audit Director.

Responsibilities:

  • You will lead the planning, scoping and execution of local and global audits aligned with professional audit standards
  • Communicate audit results to management
  • You have to follow up, track and close identified audit observations. Evaluate agreed upon action plans for mitigation of risk
  • Build and manage relationships with management
  • Lead the risk assessment process to develop the audit plan
  • Provide risk, control and governance consultancy to business management on strategic programs
  • Prepare and complete scheduled local and global audits including planning, fieldwork/execution, reporting and follow-up following department procedures (accepted professional audit standards)
  • Prepare written audit reports that are accurate, objective, constructive, and timely for identifying causes and develop recommendations for improvement to existing systems and responsibilities.
  • You will also lead GIA programs focused on continuous improvement of internal processes

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, computer science, management information systems, engineering or other information technology related field
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in a corporate Internal Audit responsibility or professional services for a public accounting firm, a professional services firm, or top tier business consulting organization (Big 4)
  • Experience assessing financial, operational, and information technology risks resulting in the development of an audit program
  • Experience working with different teams across an organization
  • One professional certification (i.e. CPA, CIA, CISA or CFE, etc.)
  • Ability to travel approximately 10-15%.

Additional Information

This is a permanent hybrid role in Costa Rica. No relocation available.
