Job description

 

Oversees all accounting operations, managing Direct and Indirect Tax compliance, Reporting, internal controls, and other compliance, acting as a key leader who provides insights to Country Controller for strategic decisions, handle and representing Company for tax assessments and filing statutory returns and liaising with auditors. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate the APA application process through all the stages including
    •  Review of supporting documents and promptly communicate on updates / changes to the stakeholders, if required.
    • Communicate and liaise with global tax team and external Consultants on regular basis to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
    •  Collaborate with business owners to facilitate the discussion and filed interviews.
    • Attend and be part of functional interviews with Hyderabad BU team
    • Facilitate compiling workflows to support the “captive” characterization of Hyderabad unit
    • Support any updates to existing benchmarking analysis (conducted in the latest TP Documentation before and during the course of the APA process )
  • Spearhead tax submissions and representations at various forums including Assessing Officer, Dispute Resolution Panel and Income Tax Appellate Tribunal
  • Strategized responses to a critical information request made by the Indian tax authorities to a foreign tax office.
  • Support on preparation of corporate tax returns and transfer pricing study reports.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly WHT filings and obtain lower tax deduction certificates
  • Review of  monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
  • Analyzing financial data to provide actionable insights and support strategic business decisions.
  • Leading the preparation and monitoring of operating expenses and fund management of GIC.
  • Serving as the primary contact for Internal & external auditors and coordinating audit processes.

  • Oversee APA process, Tax & regulatory submissions
  • Oversee daily/ monthly accounting operations, Intercompany billing and financial transactions.
  • Support Country Controller with fund planning, management and strategic initiatives.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance. • Professional certification like CPA or CA is often preferred. • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills. • 5–10 years of experience in APA, Transfer Pricing, or International Tax • Experience with FAR analysis, TP models, and Indian APA program
