We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Ascend Cloud Foundation Platform team.

We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team and help ensure the quality of our cloud-based applications. You’ll bring a strong background in test automation, AWS batch processing, and large-scale backend systems, and thrive in agile environments. As a key member of the QA team, you’ll contribute to test planning, develop automation frameworks, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to uphold high quality standards.

Key responsibilities:
• Participate in defining and executing test plans and strategies
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to integrate quality throughout the SDLC
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing
• Support defect triaging and root cause analysis
• Advocate for best practices in testing, including shift-left approaches

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Engineering, or related field

Required skills/ experience:
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 1–2 years in a senior or advanced role
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, agile testing, and SDLC practices
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Bamboo
• Experience with API testing and SQL
• Working knowledge of AWS services such as Glue, S3, Step Functions, Lambdas, EventBridge, and SQS
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (e.g., Java, Python, Scala, JavaScript)
• Experience with BDD/TDD frameworks

Advantageous experience:
• Experience with Big Data testing
• Mentor Junior QA engineers
• Proficiency in SQL and Data validation
• Knowledge of Performance Testing tools
• Familiarity to AI/ML Model Testing
• Basic understanding of security testing
