As part of our Technology Transformation it is critical we provide the right solutions at scale. Reporting into our Programme Director, the Technical Programme Manager role will be necessary for delivering critical workstreams, driving resolutions of decisions on technology strategy and ensuring the realisation of benefits of the wider programme of work.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of complex technology programmes across multiple workstreams, ensuring agreement on strategic goals.
  • Oversee programme governance, risk management, and reporting, ensuring transparency and accountability across all technology programs.
  • Collaborate with teams including IT, digital, data, and departments to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions.
  • Manage programme budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective delivery.
  • Ensure robust technical architecture and infrastructure planning in collaboration with enterprise architects and engineering leads.
  • Monitor and report on programme performance using KPIs and metrics, ensuring continuous improvement and value delivery.
  • Champion cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance standards throughout the programme lifecycle.
  • Identify and mitigate interdependencies and risks across workstreams
  • Support change management activities to ensure successful implementation and user adoption of new technologies.
  • Shape the programme strategy, ensuring understanding of business and technology goals.
  • Coordinate teams including software engineering, infrastructure, data, and cybersecurity to provide integrated solutions.
  • Facilitate regular programme reviews, steering committees, and stakeholder updates to maintain transparency and understanding.
  • Ensure technical solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Work with product owners and business analysts to translate requirements into technical deliverables.

Experience and Skills

  • Experience of large-scale technology programmes with enterprise IT systems, development lifecycles, and infrastructure.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and risks across complex programme landscapes.
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience with transformation, cloud migration, or enterprise platform implementations.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence and other programme management platforms.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, data governance, and regulatory compliance in technology programmes.Technical Project Management
