We are seeking an experienced Strategic Client Partner to manage and deepen relationships across a portfolio of our most important Strategic Accounts. Open Data Solutions is one of the fastest growing parts of Experian's A/NZ business, with strong momentum across our Open Banking and Transaction Enrichment and Categorisation solutions. This client-facing role is focused on ensuring our clients are getting maximum value from our solutions, developing trusted relationships across key stakeholders, and identifying new opportunities where Experian can help solve emerging client challenges.

Sitting within the Open Data Solutions Product & Presales team, the role requires a strong understanding of our solutions, and the ability to translate product capabilities into meaningful client outcomes. Working closely with Strategic Account Directors, Product Owners and other internal teams, you will lead ongoing strategic engagement with clients, surface growth opportunities and help progress these through discovery and solution development. Commercial ownership, negotiation and contracting remain with the Strategic Account Director.

What you'll need to bring to the role & Experian

  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to engage confidently with senior client stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills, including the ability to lead strategic client conversations and Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Strong strategic thinking, curiosity and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand client priorities and identify where our solutions can create value.
  • Commercial acumen and confidence to open and progress opportunity conversations without operating as a traditional salesperson.
  • Ability to develop a strong understanding of data and technology solutions and translate them into clear business outcomes.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, influencing stakeholders and driving outcomes without direct authority.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to proactively manage a portfolio of strategic client relationships.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop strong, trusted relationships across our Strategic Accounts, developing broad stakeholder networks across business, product, digital, data and technology teams.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of each client's strategy, priorities, challenges and future direction.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews and other strategic client forums, bringing together solution adoption, value delivered, product developments, client priorities and future opportunities.
  • Maintain an active and purposeful engagement rhythm with clients between formal reviews to remain close to changing priorities and emerging needs.
  • Develop deep knowledge of the Open Data Solutions portfolio
  • Help clients understand how existing and latest product capabilities can support their goals and expand the value they receive from Experian.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand use cases, increase adoption or solve new client problems.
  • Open exploratory conversations with clients and conduct discovery to understand our client problem, partners, potential value and appropriate next steps.
  • Partner with Strategic Account Directors to progress identified opportunities, contributing client insight, product expertise and solution positioning while they retain commercial ownership.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to gather client feedback, identify emerging requirements and bring the Voice of the Customer into product strategy and roadmap discussions.
  • Identify opportunities for strategic clients to participate in pilots, proof-of-concepts, product discovery and early adoption of new capabilities.
  • Coordinate with Product, Delivery, Support and other internal teams where required to resolve barriers to adoption and ensure clients receive a joined-up Experian experience.

  • Strong understanding of financial services, digital banking, data, SaaS or enterprise technology solutions.
  • Experience with transaction data, Open Banking, Consumer Data Right or merchant data would be highly advantageous.
  • Comfortable operating at the intersection of client relationships, product and commercial teams.
