As a Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and governing modern, cloud-native, and AI-enabled solutions. You will work closely with global technology teams to review solution designs, raise architectural risks, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards. Your influence will help shape the future of our technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead architectural reviews and provide feedback on solution designs, requirements, and non-functional aspects.

·       Collaborate with global teams to ensure architectural alignment, drive reuse and champion high-quality process and practice

·       Contribute technical content and vision to the Mainframe and Data Centre exit  Strategy, for the UKI BI (Business Information) business and support through governance

·       Closely collaborate with colleagues in the other market verticals (Consumer, Marketing etc.) to ensure technical alignment of strategic cloud platform

·       Contribute architecture guidance and input to the shaping and delivery of the set of initiatives which drive the Mainframe and Data Centre exit for the BI business

·       Design scalable, secure, and resilient solutions using AWS services, and, where applicable, interim and hybrid architectures on the mainframe or in the Experian Data Centre.

·       Guide teams in applying micro services, server-less, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.

·       Provide technical leadership in the integration of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to assist, in particular, in code conversion and testing efforts.

·       Develop and maintain architectural documentation including blueprints, patterns, and technical specifications.

·       Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

·       Mentor engineering teams and promote architectural excellence across the organisation.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

·       Understanding of cloud-native architectures and how to refine and tune these to drive desired outcomes

·       Proven experience as a Solution Architect with at least 5 years in enterprise solution design.

·       Strong knowledge of / familiarity with mainframe technologies such as CICS, COBOL, VSAM, DB2, M204

·       Strong hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., Lambda, Glue, EKS, ECS, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, Document DB, RDS).

·       Solid understanding of micro services, containers, server-less, and cloud architecture patterns.

·       Experience working with LLMs and AI/ML frameworks.

·       Strong influencing and communication skills to engage with global stakeholders.

·       Knowledge of architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) is a plus.

·       Experience with Enterprise Messaging Frameworks and message backbones would be advantageous

·       Experience with Enterprise Search Engines would be advantageous

·       Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices is advantageous.
