WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

We are looking for a tech-savvy Sr. Project Manager who will manage the development and execution of large complex projects including scope management, scheduling and team coordination, risk management, project quality and, most importantly, delivery satisfaction. You will ensure our projects are completed efficiently and on-time while meeting the expectations of our primary stakeholders. You are a driver, a leader, a self-starter, self-motivated, self-directed and self-sufficient, and at the same time, you’re strongly team-oriented and collaborative. You have exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, and can cater your communication style and form across all levels of business and technology to ensure all stakeholders are informed and satisfied. You are transparent and open with your team, your colleagues and your leaders around successes, challenges and areas of opportunity. You remain calm under pressure and inspire and motivate your team to do the same. You will be working within a PMO group reporting to the PMO Manager.

Project Management Excellence

·         Demonstrated experience leading technical projects

·         Proven experience leading and driving medium to large enterprise-level technical projects using different project methodologies (iterative and waterfall).

·         Create project plans and lead implementation across multiple teams to meet the project's definition of done

·         Collaborate with Product Owners and Technical Leads to deliver challenging our goals and outcomes

·         Document, coordinate cross-team dependencies and risks to keep projects on track

·         Create and communicate regular project status reporting to all levels of the organization · Facilitate team events, such as the daily sync, planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

·         Manage cross-functional projects, ensuring overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts.

·         Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects adhere to and meet customer expectations.

·         Assemble project plans, direct and monitor work efforts, identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, and escalate issues appropriately.

·         Track key project milestones and adjust project plans and resources to meet customer needs.

·         Provide thorough status updates/reports on your team’s sprints and project accomplishments in real-time to other key stakeholders with confidence and clarity, verbally and in writing. Track, manage and publish weekly detailed budget and benefits

·         Experience in stakeholder management, conflict resolution and people leading

·         Ability to interact professionally and confidently with colleagues at all levels, including senior and executive management with clear and confident communication and presentation skills

·         Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

·         Coordinate with aligned PMs to ensure effective delivery in line with wider portfolio activities.

·         Document, coordinate and manage cross-team dependencies to keep projects on track

·         Collaborate with project team to identify potential project risks and assist with the development of preventative plans. Escalate risks, roadblocks or issues to stakeholders in a timely fashion

·         Manage internal and external dependencies, clearly communicating those dependencies and able to resolve those dependencies

·         Facilitate decision-making, issue resolution and consensus without coercion, assigning or dictating the work

·         Act as a liaison to other teams partnering to deliver industry best solutions

·         Facilitate and/or participate in Roadmap and Release planning

·         Help create and execute project plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements

Agile Team Management

 ·         Understand and grasp the scrum process, facilitating scrum ceremonies, coaching team members on the tenants of the agile software development, and guiding multiple scrum teams and holding them accountable for their commitments

·         Manage daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly agile sprint/project ceremonies such as daily scrum standup, status reports, sprint grooming, project planning, cutover planning and retrospectives to deliver against the sprint objectives

·         Have knowledge/certification of Agile processes and tools and can balance this with the requirements of a large organization

·         Coach and lead teams toward stable velocity, successfully meeting commitments/target dates and a healthy team dynamic utilizing available metrics to determine opportunities and drive improvement

Experience and Skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of project management experience in a software development environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies in enterprise-level application(s) development.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  •   Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
  •          Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
  •   Ability to interact professionally and confidently with colleagues at all levels, including senior and executive management with clear and confident communication and presentation skills
