PRIMARY GOALS:

  1. Elevate Experian’s influence in the housing ecosystem through thought leadership and strategic engagement with associations, regulatory bodies, and GSEs.
  2. Drive cross-market growth, identifying and executing new opportunities across primary, secondary, servicing, and rental sectors.
  3. Lead M&A and investment evaluations, partnering with Corporate Development and Ventures to build compelling, data-driven business cases.
  4. Advance innovation, collaborating with Product, Data, and Technology teams to shape the next generation of housing solutions.
  5. Orchestrate enterprise alignment, ensuring insights, partnerships, and initiatives translate into successful execution across business units.

About the Role:

Experian’s Housing business is seeking a visionary Senior Director of Strategic Growth & Partnerships to shape the future of fair and affordable housing. This leader will serve as the organization’s primary external voice across the housing finance ecosystem, driving industry influence, unlocking market opportunities, and building the partnerships that fuel Experian’s next phase of growth. You will own strategic relationships with major industry associations, GSEs, and policy-setting organizations such as MBA, MISMO, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHFA. You will also lead cross-market expansion initiatives, evaluate M&A opportunities, and partner across Product, Data, Sales, Ventures, and Corporate Development to accelerate innovation and market impact.

This role reports to the VP of Strategic Development – Experian Employer Services, Verification Solutions, Housing (EVH).

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Industry Ecosystem Leadership

  • Own Experian’s relationships with MBA, MISMO, FHFA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and leading housing finance institutions.
  • Represent Experian at conferences, advisory groups, standards bodies, and public forums.
  • Develop and execute an industry engagement strategy that deepens influence in policy, innovation, and data standards.
  • Drive thought leadership around modernization, innovation, and consumer empowerment.

Strategic Growth & Innovation

  • Lead cross-market expansion initiatives across the mortgage, servicing, secondary, and rental sectors.
  • Identify emerging market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Partner with Product, Data, and Technology teams to explore new technologies, data assets, and analytics capabilities.
  • Champion pilot programs and innovation concepts that unlock new revenue streams or ecosystem capabilities.

Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Investments

  • Lead sourcing, evaluation, and prioritization of M&A and investment opportunities.
  • Coordinate legal, financial, strategic, and technical due diligence across functional teams.
  • Craft investment theses, commercial assessments, and executive-ready recommendations.
  • Ensure inorganic growth aligns with Experian’s broader housing strategy.

Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Strategic Alliances, Business Development, Sales, Product, and Strategy teams.
  • Integrate competitive intelligence and market insights into enterprise strategy.
  • Ensure alignment and execution readiness across the organization.
  • Communicate market shifts, regulatory changes, and strategic opportunities to executive leadership.

Experience and Skills

WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND Is:

  • 10+ years’ experience in business development, corporate development, strategy, policy, or product, preferably within housing, fintech, or financial services.
  • Direct experience engaging with or working inside GSEs, FHFA, national associations, regulators, or policy-setting institutions.
  • Deep understanding of the housing finance ecosystem, including primary, secondary, servicing, rental markets, and data standards (e.g., MISMO).
  • Demonstrated success leading strategic initiatives, evaluating markets, or supporting M&A/investment decisions.
  • Extraordinary analytical and strategic skills, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Executive presence and experience representing an organization in external industry forums.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Top candidates will be proficient with tools that enable strategic analysis, partnership management, and executive-level communication, such as:

  • Analytical & Strategy Tools
  • Excel / Google Sheets (advanced modeling & analysis)
  • Market intelligence platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, PitchBook, S&P Capital IQ)

Collaboration & Communication Tools

  • Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint
  • PowerPoint (executive-level presentation design)

Productivity & Innovation Tools

  • Enterprise research and workflow tools used for due diligence and competitive analysis
