Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack Java

  • Research and develop high-quality, scalable full-stack software solutions using Java (Spring Boot).
  • Produce clean, testable, and efficient code that follows established coding best practices.
  • Lead and contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and monitoring.
  • Guide and foster engineering excellence by mentoring team members, sharing knowledge, and promoting learning.
  • Inspire teammates to improve their technical skills and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Architects to capture functional requirements, define technical solutions, and identify dependencies.
  • Write automated tests as part of the development process to ensure software reliability and performance.
  • Perform code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding guidelines and architectural standards.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends, evaluating their relevance and potential impact on the product and team.

Experience and Skills

  • You should have 8+ years experience as a Java Developer (Java 11+).
  • You should have 5+ years experience in building cloud-native applications with Spring Boot and Docker.
  • AWS experience.
  • You should have an understanding best design and software engineering practices, design principles and patterns and unit testing
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker). Experience with overseeing and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog) is a plus.
  • Solid experience with Spring Ecosystem (Spring boot, Spring REST, Spring Security)
  • Understand software architecture and design principles.
  • Solid experience with Relational Databases.
  • Solid experience with unit/integration/e2e tests: JUnit, Test Driven Development, Cucumber, Wiremock, Jmeter and build tools: Maven/Gradle.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Front End tools: JavaScript/Typescript, ReactJS/Angular will also be considered as an advantage.
