Experian is looking for an Engineering Analyst to join our Marketplace Decision Optimization team. You will be part of a large, revenue-driving team that operates on an entirely cloud-based analytical platform. As an Engineering Analyst, you will work directly with team members to ensure data reliability, test and enhance offer ranking and display optimization algorithms, and bridge the gap between data engineering and reporting/modeling. You will be reporting to Data Engineering Supervisor.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Learn and understand the structure of our Snowflake database and its relationship to our product environment.
  • Use SQL.
  • Maintain scripts using Python to automate data processes and enhance data manipulation.
  • Interpret and dig into data to uncover insights and support decision-making.
  • Communicate within a team environment, collaborating with data engineers, analysts, and other partners.
  • Demonstrate ownership and responsibility for individual projects, taking tasks with limited explanation.
  • Innovate and contribute new ideas to improve business processes and improve algorithms.

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of Python and SQL.
  • 5+ years of experience working with large datasets and cloud-based platforms, Snowflake.
  • Interpret and dig into data.
  • Bridge the gap between data engineering and reporting/modeling.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to innovate.

Additional Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with scripting and automation using Python.
  • Experience working within Snowflake and understanding its data structures.
  • Familiarity with data manipulation and ETL processes.
  • Understanding of databases and data reliability.
