We are looking for a Sales Support Specialist to join our vertical sales team within Experian's Sales and Marketing division.

Reporting to a Sales Director within our Strategic Financial Services team, you will be an integral member of the sales team and provide proactive, tailored operational support (both to our clients and to our sales team).

You will also help identify inefficiencies and recurring challenges, promoting improvements, and driving solutions, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues across Experian.

Responsibilities

  • Client-Facing Support: Act as a trusted contact for client queries, ensuring professional responses with agreed timelines. Source and consolidate information to resolve client issues and create value for both our clients and Experian. Support onboarding, delivery, and migration activities to provide a seamless client experience. Build strong relationships that enhance client satisfaction and retention.
  • Sales Support: Prepare accurate quotes and proposals, reports, contracts, and client-facing presentations using tools such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce (including CPQ), and Oracle Sales Insight. Co-ordinate and facilitate meetings, calls and follow ups. Be the go-to contact for insights into challenges or process improvements that could benefit the sales team and enhance sales workflows.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Facilitate and manage communication between sales and central functions (e.g., marketing, product, and customer support). Align client needs with internal delivery teams, track resolutions, and actively participate in client meetings.
  • Sales Process Enablement: Monitor and report on sales performance KPIs, providing actionable insights. Contribute to the development of client account plans and support vertical-specific strategies.

Experience and Skills

  • Sales Awareness: Experience working with or alongside sales teams, with an understanding of the responsibilities, pressures, and workflows of roles such as Account Managers, Business Development, and Sales Specialists.
  • Proficiency in platforms such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Oracle Sales Insight (or similar tools).
  • Customer-centric mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Tailor communication style to suit different audiences, both internally and externally.
  • Process Optimisation: Experience identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experienced in managing expectations and prioritising effectively.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Ability to interpret sales data and provide meaningful insights.
