Role Overview

What you'll be doing

Experian is seeking Customer Care Specialists to join our growing Call Center in Costa Rica, reporting to our customer care supervisors. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing excellent customer service, can interpret consumers' written or verbal grievances or disputes, and has computer skills. You are willing to participate in development activities to stay current on industry knowledge our standard operational procedures. Additionally, you will:

  • Assist with credit-related memberships, services, and product offerings; and advocate for solutions that will provide reassurance and peace of mind to our members regarding their credit information.
  • Help members understand the value in their memberships, what benefits they have and how to use them.
  • Effectively handle escalated customer issues.
  • Receive customer requests for assistance, identifies support needed, and provides assistance or forwards request to appropriate functional area for handling.
  • Adjust to variations in products.
  • Ability to understand standard operational procedures for all new partners being onboarded.

Experience and Skills

  • Experience: 6 months to 1 year of inbound call handling experience.
  • Education: High school diploma required.
    • Skills:
      • Experience interpreting and responding to customer requests.
      • Good English communication skills
      • Experience documenting customer issues in detail
      • Short-term memory retention.
      • Experience handling support requests from a variety of different channels (85%–90%).
      • Proficient in PC and internet-based tools for quick decision-making.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Must pass background checks, employment and education verification, and pre-employment screening.
