Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in AWS and Distributed Systems. You have a proven track record in designing, developing, and implementing scalable software solutions using AWS cloud services and Big Data platforms. You will be reporting to a Senior Manager.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and deploy scalable and high-performance software solutions on AWS cloud infrastructure.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define architecture, and implement solutions that meet business needs.
3. Utilize AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, EMR, and others to build robust and reliable distributed applications.
4. Develop data processing pipelines using Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Hive.
5. Develop Batch applications using Spark & Scala or PySpark
6. Optimize performance and efficiency of data processing applications that are running on Athena, Presto and Spark frameworks.
7. Design, develop, and maintain complex data pipelines and workflows using Apache Airflow.
8. Configure and manage Airflow environments, including scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting workflow execution.
9. Develop custom operators and sensors as needed to extend Airflow functionality and support specific use cases.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

1. Experience as a Software Engineer, with at least 6 years of experience in developing cloud-based applications.
2. Hands-on experience with AWS services and infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, security, and serverless computing.
3. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala, and familiarity with modern software development practices and tools.
4. Deep understanding of Big Data concepts, technologies, and architectures, with practical experience in building Batch and Streaming applications.
5. Experience with Big Data frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka and Athena as well as related tools such as Hive, HBase, and Presto.
