Senior QA Engineer

Job description:

Identity & Fraud (ID&F) is one of the most vibrant departments of Experian, undergoing the most remarkable Digital Transformation across our product line-up. It is a exciting and important time for ID&F as we begin decomposing several monolithic applications into microservices and deploying them into the cloud.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will identify the testing scope, goals and ensuring test coverage and efficiency. You would need an understanding of the direction the field is taking within the context of Agile teams and DevOps and applied within a business services context.

Within this role you'll help to develop future test strategy as part of a change program working with Senior Engineers.

On a daily basis you will work with the Development teams and technical leads to help to embed the new approaches and best practice within our development teams

Daily accountabilities:

• Focus on an Automation first approach and integration with Modern DevOps practices.
• Design development of test scripts created by the QA team and make sure high-test coverage.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA automation testers across multiple teams, offshore and in-house.
• Work with development teams to managing defects, managing/ facilitating defect evaluation meetings.
• Work with product owners and scrum master's to determine acceptance criteria for testing.
• Ensure that the testing teams follow the principles, guidelines and best practices of the QA strategy as defined.
• Document and Track test artifacts inappropriate applications – Jira, source-code control (test automation scripts)
• Document and present test results back to partners or product owners.
• Be an advocate of Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement and Best Practices.
• You will be reporting to a Manager.

Qualifications:

• 6 to 9 years of experience with the following test tools: SOAP UI, Postman, Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium
• Knowledge with performance testing tool: Apache JMeter
• CI/CD tools such as Git, AWS, Jenkins, and Bitbucket
• ISTQB / ISEB Testing Certified or equivalent experience.
