Senior Product Manager (Smart Money)

Experian's Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) business seeks a Sr. Product Manager in India, with 5–8 years of experience and strong knowledge of US financial products. In this role, you will transform customer needs into scalable, compliant, and data-driven product solutions, working closely with engineering and design teams to positively impact millions of consumers.

You will manage Smart Money features with a focus on addressing immediate product gaps, optimising offerings, and driving sustained engagement from valued members. The role is highly visible, requiring close collaboration with leaders across Experian.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and improve Smart Money features by actively monitoring customer feedback, analysing product performance, and implementing enhancements relevant to consumers.
  • Lead cross-functional product development, coordinating with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to develop new features, manage backlogs, and ensure timely delivery of value.
  • Oversee integration efforts, managing technology partnerships and integrations with internal and external platforms, including US financial ecosystems, to expand product capabilities.
  • Enhance internal systems and processes, strengthening tools, workflows, and automation for efficient product operations and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, partnering with marketing, sales, legal, compliance, and other teams to support go-to-market strategies and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain transparent and effective communication channels with all stakeholders, including cross-border and local teams.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to instrument analytics, interpret data, and derive insights for continuous product improvement.

Experience and Skills

  • 10–12 years of overall experience, including 4–5 years in Product Management or Engineering, preferably within Fintech or Financial Services in India.
  • Proven success in developing and launching data‑driven financial products for US consumers.
  • Direct exposure to US financial products.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data‑driven decision‑making, particularly in financial product environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business audiences.
  • High attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong passion for customer experience and advocacy, with a solid understanding of US consumer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within teams as well as independently as an individual contributor.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing, including exposure to their application in financial products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands‑on experience implementing solutions using Generative AI or similar technologies, especially for US financial products.
  • Deep understanding of US consumer financial behaviors and the broader fintech ecosystem.
  • Flexibility to work overlapping hours with the Pacific Time Zone, as most cross‑functional partners are based there.
