Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Network Security Engineer to join our Global Network Services team. This role is pivotal in supporting and enhancing our network security infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining compliance with stringent regulatory, governmental, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Network Security Operations, Engineering, Global ENOC, and Global Build teams to maintain a secure and resilient global network security infrastructure.
  • Provide expert-level engineering and operational support to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of the network environment to identify gaps, risks, and areas for enhancement, proposing innovative and effective solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to strengthen the organization’s security posture.
  • Mentor and train team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture.
  • Deliver high-quality incident management, problem resolution, and change implementation in alignment with ITIL best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant security control requirements and contribute to audit readiness.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing, designing, and provisioning network security technologies in a large, globally distributed environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in working with a variety of network security technologies and platforms, including but not limited to:
    • SASE solutions (Zscaler, Netskope, Prisma Access)
    • Imperva WAF (On-Prem and Cloud)
    • Trellix IPS
    • SkyHigh proxy (On-Prem and Cloud)
    • Fortinet & Checkpoint firewalls
    • Cisco firewalls
    • DDoS (Incapsula, Cloudflare etc)
    • Cisco ISE
  • Solid understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as NNMi, ThousandEyes, Algosec, Grafana, Dynatrace, and ExtraHop.
  • Decent knowledge of Network technologies including Routing, Switching, Cisco ACI, Load balancers and SD-WAN etc.
  • Knowledge and experience in Cloud (AWS).
  • Strong documentation and process development skills, including automation for operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks for incident, problem, and change management.
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and make sound decisions in high-stakes environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented mindset.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP Security, Palo Alto, Zscaler Certified Professional, etc.)
  • Experience working in ITIL-based environments.
