Sales Specialist – Software Solutions - Hybrid

We are looking for an enthusiastic, results-oriented Sales Specialist to join our team, with a focus on selling Decisioning Software spanning all aspects of our market leading Ascend Platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software sales, particularly in decisioning technology, and will be responsible for working with our existing client base as we progress through our transformation initiative to move clients to the Ascend platform. The candidate will be working closely with our Software Solutions teams to establish and nurture client relationships as they drive through the sales process to support the client migration to the Ascend platform.

 

What you'll need to bring to the role & Experian

 

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in software sales, with familiarity in decisioning/ business rules engines.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • A problem-solver who can identify customer pain points and offer tailored, value-driven solutions.
  • A history of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with comprehensive experience managing the full sales cycle.
  • Highly motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

 

Work that matters - What you'll be doing

 

  • Sales Execution: implement a comprehensive sales approach to migrate existing clients to our Ascend platform, with a focus on the mid-market segment.
  • Targeted Sales Strategy: Clearly understand the nuances of the Ascend product, target market, and customer needs, to create more personalized and persuasive sales pitches.
  • Product Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of our decisioning software offerings, ensuring you can clearly communicate the technical features and business benefits to both technical and non-technical audiences, working closely with the Solution Consulting and Product Teams.
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with existing customers. Work closely with the Software Solutions Consulting Team to understand customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and ensure a seamless experience throughout the sales journey.
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Track and manage the sales pipeline in Salesforce, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely reporting of all opportunities and deals.
  • Effective Negotiation and Closing: Complex software sales often involve negotiation over pricing, implementation plans, and other contract terms. Working with the Software delivery team, navigate these negotiations effectively, ensuring that both the customer's needs and the company's objectives are met.
  • Increased Sales Performance: understands both the technical and business aspects of the software can drive better sales results. Your specialized knowledge and experience reduce the likelihood of miscommunication or misunderstandings during the sales process, which can lead to a higher win rate.

Experience and Skills

More about you

 

  • Experience selling decisioning software or related technologies in industries such as finance, insurance, retail, or telecommunications, with a proven track record of achieving quota.
  • Strong communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
