Product Engineer

Job description

• We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Angular Developer to join and help us on our product development journey.
• We are looking for a skilled, passionate, and highly motivated IT Product Engineer to involve in full Systems Development Life Cycle and provide support to the system users.
• We require individuals who are strong believers in continuous improvement and are constantly driven to bring about positive change to processes

• What you'll be doing
• Be a part of the development team to implement cloud solutions
• Define, develop, improve & automate the operational processes to effectively manage the cloud environment
• Develop and deploy tools for use within the Operations group
• Automate everything from deployment to monitoring and management to incident response - treat 'Everything as Code'
• Provides technical leadership in Cloud Solutions and promotes best practices in this area
• Evaluate the analytics from the cloud environment to make recommendations for improvements and optimization
• Lead the technical planning & requirements gathering phases including estimate, develop, test, and manage projects, and deliver.
• Produce high-level design documentation where required
• Take ownership of our configuration management platforms
• Innovation in all areas - people, process, technology.

• Must possess a Degree / Advanced Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent. Seniority will be commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications.
• At least 3 years' experience in systems design and the implementation of software.
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end technologies, including Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, along with back-end skills in Java / VB / PHP and MySQL. Familiarity with AWS Cloud is also required.
• Experience with CodeIgniter, Bootstrap, and MVC architecture
• Experience on developing Restful API with XML / JSON.
• Experience on developing SDK integration and mobile development (iOS and Android) is an advantage.
• Good understanding of Agile, SCRUM, SDLC and software design concepts
• Familiar with GIT Versioning Control and source safe environment.
• Knowledge in JIRA / Bitbucket / Jenkins / Static Code Security are an advantage.
• Understanding security principles & best practices (e.g., OWASP Top Ten) in web and mobile application development.
• Strong skills in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to deliver under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Experience with issue tracking - JIRA
• Practical experience implementing AWS, Google Cloud and/ or Microsoft Azure
• Automation experience with Terraform
• Experience with cloud-based development and deployment
• Production experience with deployment and management of cloud technologies

Qualifications
