Job description

Reporting to the Controls Testing Manager, the Controls Testing Lead will support the development of the testing methodology for critical controls across the Experian Global business, specifically in support of Business Conduct and Regulatory risks. The testing lead will be responsible for developing and executing controls testing plans and for communicating, agreeing and monitoring gaps in controls following Experian risk management processes and in collaboration with other assurance functions across the first, second and third line of defense.

The Controls Testing Lead will also support the Controls Testing Manager in the development of testing methodologies, risk universe and integrated reporting.

  • Support the Controls Testing Manager in the identification and prioritization of testing activities as part of the assurance planning process.
  • Plan and execute control tests including coordinating the review process with key stakeholders, managing the activities of control testing senior analysts (local and overseas), reviewing the quality of work performed and ensuring agreement on the assurance testing methodology.
  • Prepare draft reports reflecting the results of work performed and advise the business on appropriate solutions and remediation activities engaging other 2LOD and subject matter experts in agreeing actions plans. Present results to senior management to get support and agreement to action.
  • Coordinate activities throughout the review lifecycle with senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics team to identify opportunities for converting manual testing into analytics-based testing and continuous monitoring activity. To direct the analytics team to improve models and follow up on results of continuous monitoring and analytics.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, computer science, management information systems, engineering or other information technology related fields
  • 8+ years of experience implementing and testing controls, risk management and/or compliance environments
  • Advanced English and Portuguese language skills
  • Project management skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
  • Experience collaborating with teams to ensure policy consistency and local regulatory compliance
  • Experience proposing solutions
  • An approach that promotes collaboration and consultation.
  • Experience identifying important risks in access management and influence improvements in the control environment.
  • Analytical experience identifying potential risks and developing solutions
  • Knowledge of risk assessment
