HR Transition Lead (Fixed-Term)

The HR Transition Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and completing People Services transitions, including service model changes, HR technology implementations. Ensure a seamless shift from current to future state by managing partner engagement, supporting change readiness, ensuring knowledge transfer, mitigating risk, and allowing business continuity throughout the transition lifecycle.

You will be reporting to the HR Service Improvement Lead.

Job role is on a fixed-term contract for 1 year.

What You'll Do:

Transition Planning & Delivery:

  • Maintain end-to-end HR transition plans, including timelines, milestones, interdependencies, and risk mitigation strategies. Working on multiple transitions in parallel

  • Lead the HR process within broader transformation programmes, aligning with PMO standards.

  • Analysis to identify gaps between current (local) process to the GPS service catalogue

  • Ensure smooth handover to BAU teams, including documentation, training, and knowledge transfer.

Stakeholder & Change Management:

  • Be a central contact for HR, business leaders, project teams, and external partners.

  • Facilitate workshops, briefings, and engagement sessions with transitioning teams.

  • Support change adoption by preparing communications, change impact assessments, and readiness plans.

  • Build relationships to empower collaboration and remove barriers to transition success.

Process, Policy & Technology Readiness:

  • Support the redesign and mapping of HR processes, ensuring agreement on the future operating mode and handing over to Service Delivery for acceptance

  • Coordinate updates to Service level agreements, workflows, and SOP documentation.

  • Prepare HR systems, data, and integrations for transition go-live.

  • Partner with People Technology teams on testing (functional & EX), training, and deployment activities.

Risk, Governance & Compliance:

  • Identify risks associated with HR transition activities.

  • Maintain governance documentation, and reporting packs for partners.

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards throughout the transition.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to refine processes and improve employee/manager experience.

  • Capture lessons learned and embed best practices into future transition frameworks.

  • Support building reusable templates, guides, and toolkits for future HR transitions.

Experience and Skills

What we are looking for:

  • Experience HR transformation, business change management.

  • Experience with HR processes, service delivery models, and employee lifecycle management.

  • Excellent partner management skills

  • Experience with project or programme management approaches (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

  • Partner and collaborate at all organisational levels.

  • Fluency in English

We consider it an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience in shared services or global business services environments.

  • HRIS or digital HR transformation exposure (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ServiceNow).

  • Project management accreditation (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile PM).

  • Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, APMG).
