KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and deliver a global internal communications vision that drives alignment with Experian’s business priorities, inspires action, and strengthens our culture of innovation.
  • Develop scalable frameworks, toolkits, and guidelines that enable a consistent global standard of excellence while empowering regional and functional teams.
  • Benchmark our effectiveness against leading global tech companies to ensure Experian’s internal communications remain best-in-class.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and senior leaders, shaping enterprise narratives and messaging aligned with Experian’s purpose, brand, and long-term vision.
  • Work with key stakeholders across the organisation to identify and address the evolving needs of our business.
  • Lead global communication cascades by equipping regional and functional IC leaders with enterprise-wide narratives, frameworks, and toolkits – ensuring messages land with impact locally while reinforcing a unified global story.
  • Champion innovative, multi-channel methods – including visual, broadcast, social, and GenAI-powered tools – to elevate how we reach and engage colleagues.
  • Craft enterprise-wide storytelling that connects Experian’s strategy and priorities to employees’ day-to-day impact, building pride and clarity of purpose.
  • Coordinate the global editorial calendar to align leadership messaging, channels, and campaigns for maximum impact.
  • Define KPIs for strategic communications, run pulse feedback, and use insight to iterate the narrative and channel mix.

THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to join Experian’s Global Internal Communications team as the Global Internal Communications Director, partnering with senior leaders to inspire and engage employees across 32 countries.

In this senior role, you will set the strategic ambition for Global Internal Communications and shape a globally leading function that evolves with our business – guiding leaders, continually modernising our approach, and ensuring our people feel inspired and connected to our purpose. Building on Experian’s award-winning culture, you will establish an operating model that sets new standards of excellence and can be applied and amplified across the business.

You will lead internal communications strategies that drive enterprise-wide change, strengthen business alignment, and embed critical initiatives into the way we work. You will uphold and raise the standards for global internal communications, ensuring the function consistently operates at a best-in-class level and plays a critical role in Experian’s continued success. You will bring an external perspective and curiosity for what is next – harnessing industry-leading tools and continuously modernising how we engage employees and how we measure impact. Above all, you will set and deliver communications that simplify complexity, inspire action, and deepen how our 25,000+ people connect with our purpose, strategy, and growth journey.

You will also serve as a trusted advisor to Experian’s executives and senior leaders, shaping the business narrative and guiding how we communicate our most critical priorities. You will work directly with leaders to shape their communications, amplify their voice, and ensure their messages inspire confidence and clarity across the business.

This role calls for a leader who can balance vision-setting with hands-on delivery, combining business acumen, cultural awareness, and storytelling excellence to build engagement across global teams. You will also work closely with senior colleagues to set standards, share best practices, and raise the bar for employee communications across the organisation. Internal Communications leaders across the business will look to you for strategic alignment and escalation support on major communications initiatives.

This role reports to the Global Head of Brand and Internal Communications and is part of Experian’s Global Communications team.


Experience and Skills

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven track record leading internal communications and transformation strategies within complex, multinational organisations.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic mindset, with the ability to flex between high-level vision and hands-on delivery.
  • Creative, proactive, and innovative – collaborative by nature, with the drive to experiment, embrace digital tools, and deliver measurable results in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp editorial instinct and storytelling expertise.
  • High emotional intelligence and cultural awareness, with experience navigating ambiguity and sensitive topics.
  • Proven credibility advising C-suite leaders and influencing stakeholders across functions and geographies.
  • Degree-level education in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent senior professional experience.
