Job description

This role is central to shaping the user experience of our internally developed People Technology tools — custom-built applications that power critical HR programmes across the employee lifecycle. As a Frontend Developer, you'll craft dynamic, responsive, and accessible interfaces using Vue 3, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. You'll work closely with others in the development team and product stakeholders to bring intuitive user experiences to life. Beyond implementation, you'll influence frontend architecture, champion performance optimization, and help maintain a clean, modern, and scalable UI codebase that enables us to deliver impactful digital experiences with speed and quality.

  • Develop and maintain modular, reusable frontend components using Vue 3 Composition API and TypeScript.
  • · Implement responsive UI layouts using Tailwind CSS and modern CSS features.
  • · Manage application state using reactive patterns (e.g., Pinia, Vuex).
  • · Write unit and end-to-end tests (Vitest, Jest, Cypress) to ensure UI stability and regression safety.
  • · Use Git for source control and actively participate in pull request reviews and branching strategies.
  • · Integrate frontend components with backend APIs, handling loading states, error messaging, and data presentation.
  • · Collaborate with the team to maintain a Storybook-based design system
  • · Apply performance optimization techniques such as code splitting, lazy loading, and bundle analysis.
  • · Participate in sprint planning, technical design reviews, and UI/UX feedback loops.
  •

Required Skills:

Essential

  • Vue 3: Extensive knowledge of Vue 3, the Composition API, state management (Pinia/Vuex), and component-based design.
  • · TypeScript: Very experienced with typings, generics, interfaces, and writing robust Vue components.
  • · Tailwind CSS: Proven ability to create responsive, utility-first layouts with Tailwind.
  • · CSS: Solid grasp of animations, transitions, and modern styling approaches.
  • · Git: Daily use of Git with PR workflows, branching strategies, and version control best practices.
  • · Testing: Familiarity with Vitest, Jest for unit tests and Cypress for end-to-end coverage.

Nice to have

  • Storybook: Experience creating and maintaining UI component libraries and documentation.
  • · API Integration: Fetching data using Axios/Fetch, and handling async states in the UI layer.
  • · Performance Optimization: Experience with techniques like lazy loading, tree-shaking, and performance audits.
