Experian Global Security Office (EGSO) provides a full suite of information security services from engineering to security risk management, policy, metrics, and identity management. The Information Security Governance team is the principal advocate for information security and delivers a comprehensive information security strategy to improve the security posture of the organization.

As our Data & Analytics Specialist you will join a talented and experienced information security team and help to define the security posture of a top global company. You'll touch all areas of the Experian business while also becoming an expert in security best practices, and related regulation whilst applying your knowledge of automation and tools such as Power BI, Power Automate and Logica Apps to a range of projects.

You will be an expert in business process automation with a focus on information security, a change champion and able to collaborate with people from all levels of the business.

This is a UK based remote position reporting to the Head of Information Security Policy and Standards

Metrics and Automation

  • Promote automation to support the team's ongoing efforts related to compliance and reporting, using technologies such as AI, ML, and workflow automation tools.
  • Lead on the design and implementation of analytics solutions to monitor policy compliance, risk trends, and policy effectiveness.
  • Lead the development of dashboards tools to provide applicable insights to partners and guide data-informed decision-making.
  • Implement and enhance internal metrics, including supporting agreement of policies with global regulations, industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
  • Use data analytics to identify gaps, measure policy adoption, and inform continuous improvement programs.
  • Champion the use of automation across the Information Security team to increase efficiency and scalability.

Engagement and Communication

  • Represent the Information Security team in projects and external industry forums.
  • Work with subject matter experts on technical policy details and their supporting documents.
  • Support policy document awareness projects and conduct training on policies globally across Experian.

Governance, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement

  • Support the research and development of information security policies and their supporting documents based on industry best practice with a focus on complex new technologies and Cloud.
  • Lead on the continuous improvement and automation of our internal processes, delivering measurable efficiencies.
  • Review information security best practice to help align Experian policies and their supporting documents, encouraging agreement where required.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to determine the impact of changes to information security policies and their supporting documents. Ensuring that changes to existing documents and new policies and supporting documents are communicated to the respective partners.
  • Support audits by providing industry expertise where applicable.

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in the following areas: process automation, data analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, Information Security, Technology Governance, Technology Audit, Information Technology Compliance.
  • Experience designing and operationalise security performance indicators, using tools such as Power BI to guide automation efficiencies.
  • Understanding of control and risk management concepts and knowledge of the operational aspects of the information risk business.
  • Operate as a subject matter expert on information security policies.
  • Experience developing Information Security standards based on industry frameworks, trends, and best practice.
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing AI/ML models in security, compliance, or risk contexts is very desirable.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CCSP, CRISC, CISSP, or CISM.
