Business Process Analyst - 12-month Contract

In Oct 2024, Experian completed the acquisition of illion and are in the process of integrating the two businesses. This is a large-scale program across most business and functional areas. We are looking for someone to work closely with cross-functional teams to map current and future state processes, complete gap analysis, and coordinate project activities to address these gaps. 

What you’ll need to bring to the role & Experian 

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Business Process Analyst to join us on a fixed-term contract for an initial period of 12 months, with the opportunity to extend. This role will play a key part in supporting the successful integration of illion by driving business process changes that enhance operational efficiency and deliver value across the business.  

Work that matters - What you’ll be doing 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand, capture and prioritise key process issues within the business to be investigated further. These will typically be where the different teams engage with each other i.e. the ‘interlocks’.   
  • Document the end-to-end current processes for these identified and prioritised areas.   
  • Identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.  
  • Complete options analysis for each selected area investigated and present recommendations to stakeholders for decision.   
  • Once a future state decision has been made, develop future state process maps that capture the target state.   
  • Support implementation by translating required business changes into clear, actionable requirements, building a supporting project and change plan (in conjunction with the Integration Program).  
  • Time permitting, support the Integration Program in other project management related tasks.

Experience and Skills

 

More about you 

  • Ideally 5–7 years of experience in business process engineering and process improvement.  
  • Strong skills in End-to-End process mapping and business process improvement.  
  • Ability to plan and manage the delivery of process changes.   
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Visio, Jira, MS Project).  
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

 

Additional skills that set you apart

  • Experience working on post-merger integrations or large-scale transformation programs.  
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks.  
  • Experience with process mapping (e.g. BPMN, UML, flowcharts, swim-lane diagrams) and/or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).  
  • Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMP, CAPM or similar are a plus.
