Role Overview

The Team:

Group Treasury funds the group through bank debt, commercial paper and issuing bonds and for making cash available to the group, where and when it is needed. That responsibility also includes risk management activities like foreign exchange, interest rate and related external counterparty risk management. The team consists of 8 treasury professionals. We manage the daily front and back-office treasury processes, and the associated accounting, reporting and systems maintenance.

 

The Role:

Reporting to the Treasury Transformation and Project Manager, the Treasury Systems Analyst is responsible for the development, and continuous improvement of treasury systems and automated processes. You will support system stability, enhance automation, and guide operational efficiency across Group Treasury.

 

Main Responsibilities

System Management

  • Ensure the integrity, reliability, and performance of treasury systems
  • Manage daily system maintenance, including interfaces with Finastra, 360T (FX and MMF platform), and Oracle
  • Maintain system schedulers supporting automated workflows, reports, and data transfers
  • Manage static data within treasury and electronic banking platforms
  • Partner with Experian ITS to resolve system issues and support maintenance activities
  • Ensure adherence to change management processes across all environments
  • Perform quarterly user access reviews and support audit requirements
  • Monitor system performance and collaborate with Global Technology Services on backup and recovery processes
  • Maintain vendor relationships, including with FIS

System Development & Enhancements

  • Evaluate and prioritise new system functionality and improvements
  • Support system upgrades, patches, and hotfix implementations
  • Stay informed on market trends and latest technologies to improve treasury capabilities
  • Assist users with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new features and enhancements

Process Improvement & Transformation

  • Identify opportunities to improve treasury processes through automation and digitisation
  • Benchmark current practices against industry standards and recommend improvements
  • Support delivery of treasury transformation plans
  • Enhance workflows and identify process optimisation opportunities

Experience and Skills

Skills & Experience

  • Experience managing or supporting enterprise systems, with SQL/database knowledge
  • Familiarity with automation tools or scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
  • Understanding of treasury systems or financial platforms is advantageous
  • Exposure to FIS Quantum or Oracle is beneficial but not required
  • Knowledge of AI tools or latest technologies

Capabilities

  • Collaborate with technical and other team members
  • Comfortable working with complex systems and financial data

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
