Programme Manager – Strategic Business Integration

Role Overview

As part of our continued investment in strategic data capabilities, it is critical that we deliver complex business integration activity safely, effectively and at pace.

Reporting into our Product Director you will lead the integration of a strategically important data capability into Experian's operating model. The role will coordinate activity across legal, risk, compliance, data governance, product, technology, finance, HR, operations and commercial teams to ensure the transition is well controlled, clearly governed and aligned to Experian standards.

Main responsibilities

  • Define and manage the overall integration plan, ensuring all business, regulatory, operational and technology workstreams are sequenced, prioritised and aligned.
  • Lead the planning, execution and delivery of multiple integration workstreams, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Oversee programme governance, risk management, reporting and decision-making, ensuring transparency and accountability across all workstreams.
  • Coordinate legal, risk, compliance, data governance, product, technology, operations, finance, HR and commercial teams to ensure a joined-up transition.
  • Build and maintain an integrated plan covering key milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, deliverables and business outcomes.
  • Support contractual and operational transition activity, ensuring key obligations, approvals and dependencies are visible and actively managed.
  • Collaborate with product and data teams to support the safe enablement of strategic data capabilities in line with agreed permissions, controls and governance.
  • Coordinate with technology teams where platform, data, access management, service readiness or infrastructure activity is required.
  • Manage budgets, resource plans, third-party dependencies and delivery risks to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Facilitate senior stakeholder engagement
  • Support change management activities to ensure successful implementation, internal readiness and adoption of new processes or capabilities.
  • Facilitate regular programme reviews, steering committees and stakeholder updates to maintain transparency, alignment and pace.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues across the programme, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Support Day 1 readiness, stabilisation, operational handover, governance set-up and post-transition support.
  • Work closely with product owners, business analysts, legal counsel, compliance teams, risk specialists, operational SMEs and technology teams to translate business requirements into clear delivery plans.
  • Ensure new or transitioned processes are scalable, controlled, compliant and aligned with Experian's operating model and enterprise standards.
  • Monitor and report on programme performance using dashboards, KPIs, RAID logs, executive summaries and benefits tracking.

Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience in leading complex business integration, transformation or regulated change programmes with multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • integrated planning, dependency management, RAID management, governance, reporting and executive stakeholder engagement experience
  • Operated in a regulated environment.
  • Manage budgets, resources, vendors, risks and delivery trade-offs across complex programme landscapes.
  • Experience coordinating legal or contractual transition activity, customer or stakeholder communications, operating model change and service readiness.
  • Experience with business integration, M&A integration, asset integration, customer migration, data product integration or operating model transformation.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence.
  • Recognised programme or project management qualification such as MSP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, APM PMQ, AgilePM or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience in financial services, credit, fraud, identity, data services, information services, banking, insurance, fintech or another regulated data environment would be advantageous.
