Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Development and Maintenance: Lead the development of platform-related automation, including Infrastructure as Code for Window's, Unix/Linux, CI/CD pipelines, and automation supporting development process improvements.
  • Product Ownership: Own the Delivery of Infrasstructure via Automation within the UK&I region, ensuring service stability and regular updates in collaboration with global product owners.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other areas of UK&I EITS to develop, support, and maintain ServiceNow forms for self-service and automation.
  • Innovation: Continuously seek efficiencies through automation, delivering innovative solutions to internal and external clients.

Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and culture.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic direction of the Platform Operations team, aligning technical initiatives with business goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with product owners, partners, and other internal teams to ensure seamless collaboration and delivery.
  • Quality Improvement: Drive continual improvement in the quality and efficiency of delivery, implementing best practices and Agile methodologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Scripting and automation experience (PowerShell, YAML, GIT).
  • ServiceNow development.
  • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • Containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS).

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Agile working practices (Scrum, LeSS, Kanban).
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills.
