Operational Risk Manager

Reporting to Regional Head of Risk, the Operational Risk Manager will be responsible for promoting and embedding Experian’s Risk Management Framework processes within the UK&I business. This includes implementing and embedding the tools, policies, standards and procedures required for the business to manage its current and emerging risks.

What you'll be doing:

  •  Assist the UK&I Head of Risk in driving the Regional Risk Profile and the maturity in Risk Management activities
  • Communicating areas of exposure and recommended areas of focus 
  • Monitor and analyze risks within the UK&I region across the various business units and report on material areas of existing and potential exposure
  • Report on the business risk profile with visibility of key areas of materiality and identification of any key changes in risk assessment and control effectiveness
  • Support the establishing, maintenance and delivery of risk management policies and protocols
  • Advice on potential risk impacts across the organization spanning enterprise risk disciplines
  • Collaborate across business units to ensure risk management is comprehensive
  • Provide guidance and training to risk owners and other stakeholders on the application of the risk management framework, tools, and techniques
  • Conduct assurance activities and deep dives to explore areas of exposure and provide recommendation

Experience and Skills

What you'll bring:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a risk environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Previous experience within Financial services or a Regulated environment preferred
  • Experience in working within a 2nd Line Governance function
  • Relevant risk certifications
