Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Security Analyst to join our cybersecurity team and help drive vulnerability management, security governance, and continuous security improvement initiatives across the organization. In this role, you will work closely with system owners and technical teams to identify, prioritize, track, and remediate security vulnerabilities while ensuring compliance with established security processes and standards. You will also contribute to the optimization of security tools, reporting capabilities, and documentation, helping improve the overall security posture and operational effectiveness of the organization.

Your key responsibilities

  • Partner with system owners to prioritize and coordinate the remediation of security vulnerabilities across technology environments.
  • Track remediation activities, validate completed fixes, and monitor progress against established deadlines and service-level expectations.
  • Hold stakeholders accountable for remediation commitments, driving high levels of compliance with vulnerability management requirements.
  • Develop and maintain security reports, dashboards, and automation solutions that provide visibility into remediation status and security risks.
  • Create, maintain, and improve security documentation, runbooks, standard operating procedures, and process guides.
  • Assist technical teams in understanding and adhering to security processes, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide timely and accurate guidance to stakeholders regarding security governance and remediation activities.
  • Support the operation, configuration, and optimization of vulnerability scanning and security automation tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve vulnerability detection capabilities, security processes, and operational efficiencies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on strengthening security coverage, reporting accuracy, and risk reduction.

Experience and Skills

What we expect from you

  • + Advanced English and availability to travel to São Carlos/SP when need it.
  • Experience working with vulnerability management, security operations, or cybersecurity governance processes.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability remediation workflows and risk management practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and system owners to prioritize and address security findings.
  • Experience tracking remediation activities and managing competing priorities across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and risk assessment.
  • Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, processes, and operational procedures.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with security compliance requirements, operational controls, and governance processes.
  • Experience developing reports, metrics, dashboards, or automation solutions to improve visibility and efficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and driving operational excellence within cybersecurity programs.

Nice to have

  • Experience with vulnerability management platforms and security scanning tools.
  • Experience with security automation and reporting solutions.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and industry standards.
  • Familiarity with cloud security environments and modern infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience supporting audit, compliance, or regulatory security initiatives.
  • Understanding of risk-based vulnerability prioritization methodologies.
  • Ability to analyze security metrics and recommend process improvements that increase remediation effectiveness.
  • Experience improving vulnerability scanning coverage and reducing false positives through tool tuning and optimization.
