Head of Sales - Financial Services EMS

We are looking for a Head of Sales to manage a team and drive the sales of our Experian Marketing Services products into the financial services sector. This is a player / manager role in which you will lead the strategic vision for the team and developing long-term relationships with key clients and shaping engagement with the team and clients. Your role will be a blend of new business development and contracted business.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve the company's revenue and growth objectives. Analyse market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and refine existing strategies. Set sales targets and KPIs for the sales team, and ensure these are met or exceeded.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, inspire and mentor a team of sales professionals. Foster a top-performance sales culture by providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners. Act as a key point of contact for high-value clients and provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Oversee the development of customer databases and CRM systems.
  • Sales Operations and Reporting: Oversee sales operations, including sales forecasting, budgeting, and planning. Monitor sales performance metrics and generate detailed reports for senior management. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate sales forecasts and financial planning.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales strategies with marketing campaigns, product launches, and customer retention initiatives. Provide feedback from customers and the sales team to influence product development and improve service offerings.

Experience and Skills

  • Experienced people leadership - Ability to inspire and lead a diverse sales team towards achieving goals.
  • Experience banking / financial services, their business and operational challenges and current / future market dynamics.
  • Strong capability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales results and achieving business objectives.
  • Collaboration: Effective at working cross-functionally to achieve common goals.
  • Negotiation and influencing: built rapport with clients at all levels with excellent negotiation strategy skills and the skills to execute and close deals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Expertise in building and maintaining strong client relationships to drive satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Focus on understanding and anticipating client needs to deliver exceptional service and value.
