Data Engineering and Operations Manager

Reports To: Senior Director of Data Management & Enablement

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineering and Operations Manager to lead an offshore team of senior Data Operations specialists and Data Engineers. You will ensure smooth operational workflows, high-quality data delivery, and the development of scalable data engineering solutions. You will drive team growth, operational excellence, and innovation while bridging collaboration across global team.

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor, recruit, onboard, grow, and evaluate full stack Sr. Data Engineer and DataOps and BI Engineer.

Collaborate with US team to ensure seamless support to our business

• Oversee the design and implementation of data pipelines, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Maintain data quality and optimize ETL processes for performance.
• Lead daily operations, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues related to data systems.
• Ensure operational processes meet SLAs for quality and timeliness.
• Act as the key offshore contact for onshore teams and leadership.
• Communicate progress and challenges effectively with stakeholders.
• Strategic Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process automation and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the overall data strategy and roadmap for the department.
• Experience with BI tools like Alteryx, Tableau
• Support all the data related request or issues during Hyderabad working hours

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in CS, Data Engineering, or related field.
• 11+ years in data engineering or data operations, including 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Prior experience managing offshore teams.
• Technical Skills: Expertise in tools like SQL, Python, Spark, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), Jira, etc.
• Knowledge of data governance and quality frameworks.
