Job description

 

Summary of Primary Responsibilities

·        Provide hands-on leadership across development and support activities for strategic billing systems, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical standards.

·        Act as escalation point for complex incidents and delivery challenges, driving resolution and continuous improvement.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, architecture, and business operations to ensure seamless integration and support.

·        Monitor and report on team performance, delivery timelines, and system health, using metrics to drive accountability and improvement.

·        Support vendor engagement and contract oversight where external resources are involved in delivery or support.

·        Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development for billing systems modernization and transformation.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading application development and support teams, ideally within billing or financial systems.
  • Strong track record of delivering complex projects and managing concurrent workstreams across development and support.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop technical talent, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, incident management, and release governance in enterprise environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Experience working with contractors and vendors, including oversight of deliverables and integration with internal teams.
