Job Purpose

Senior Automation Test Analyst with AWS required to work on a fast-growing technology company.

You will need to demonstrate experience with software testing and the desire to listen and work with peers across other geographies. Most importantly you will need to show you can be a valued, add value, considerate member of a project team responsible for delivering working, high-quality software to production.

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Automation Test Analyst with strong expertise in functional testing, automation frameworks, and cloud technologies. You will have substantial hands-on experience in designing and accomplishing automated test scripts, with in-depth knowledge of any of automation tools (like Selenium, Playwright) and Java programming. A understanding of AWS services is important. Senior Automation Test Analyst will collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality software solutions are delivered.

Principle responsibilities

• Design and build functional test cases based on detailed software requirements and specifications.
• Identify, document, and manage software defects, ensuring resolution in collaboration with development teams.
• Work in an agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives.
• Configure and manage scalable testing environments using AWS cloud services to ensure performance and reliability.
• Evaluate and enhance testing processes to align with industry best practices and project goals.
• Conduct comprehensive functional, integration, and regression testing to validate software functionality and compatibility across platforms.
• Develop scalable automated test scripts using industry-standard tools, including Selenium and Playwright, with a focus on Java programming.
• Apply a detailed, logical, approach to all testing activities, ensuring coverage and accuracy.
• Maintain independence while managing diverse and competing pressures in a rapid environment.
• Perform requirement analysis and prepare detailed test documentation, including traceability matrices, test cases, and test data for both manual and automated execution.
• Design, update the test automation framework to ensure stability and adaptability to project changes.
• Develop, and analyse performance test scenarios using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner, ensuring system efficiency under load and stress conditions.
• Provide daily status reports to partners, offering clear insights into progress, challenges, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with the development and product teams to support end-to-end testing processes and ensure seamless product delivery.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
• Expertise in Java programming for building automation scripts.
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services for managing scalable testing environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.
• API testing knowledge using tools like Postman or SoapUI or Bruno.
• Experience in designing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Skills in requirement analysis, creating test traceability matrices, and preparing test cases and test data.
• Agile mindset with experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with Agile tools like JIRA or Confluence for tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software testing and test automation with a degree/diploma in computer science
