Senior Business Performance Analyst - Fixed-term

We’re launching a brand-new Business Performance function within the Experian Consumer Services UK Analytics team - and we’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to help shape its future. This is a unique opportunity to join at the ground level, influence how we work, and drive meaningful change across the business.

As a Senior Analyst, you’ll lead complex analytical projects, mentor junior colleagues, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights that directly impact strategic decisions.

You will report into the Analytics Manager.

What you will do:

  • Lead and deliver high-impact analytical projects that solve real business problems.
  • Champion a data-as-a-product mindset by designing scalable, reusable data assets and efficient data pipelines that support automation, reduce duplication, and enhance accessibility - empowering teams across the business to self-serve insights and make faster, smarter decisions.
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level analysts, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Develop advanced Tableau dashboards that are intuitive, insightful, and tailored to business users.
  • Prepare and transform data for analysis and visualization, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct deep-dive performance analysis, using regression and other techniques to uncover drivers of change.
  • Champion best practices in analytics across the wider data team.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in a data analytics role.
  • Expert-level SQL skills and strong data preparation capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Tableau and data visualization best practices.
  • Experience with regression analysis and performance explainers.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills - you can translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring others.
  • Experience with website behavioral data is nice to have
