Risk and Compliance Analyst

Reporting to Regional Head of Risk, the Risk and Compliance Analyst will support the 2nd Line of Defence (2LoD) Risk and Compliance teams by gathering, analysing, and presenting data to deliver actionable insights into the organisation's risk landscape.

What you'll be doing:

  • Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyse data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and changes to the risk environment. Monitor and analyse key risk and control indicators to detect early warning signs on behalf of 2lod teams.
  • Reporting: Prepare risk reports tailored to operational (2LoD) and executive-level stakeholders. Support the development of dashboards and visualisations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Tool Management: Use analytics and reporting tools to support risk management initiatives. Drive data quality and integrity within the risk management systems.
  • Collaboration: Work with Risk & Compliance Teams to align analytics with business priorities. Provide data-driven insights to support central risk governance reporting and business oversight.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in reporting processes and suggest automation or optimisation opportunities.

Experience and Skills

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in statistical analysis, trend analysis, and data visualisation to identify and communicate key insights.
  • Experience in analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL) and familiarity with Governance, Risk, and Compliance systems
  • Experience in extracting data from  systems, cleaning, and managing large datasets
  • Understanding of risk frameworks and knowledge of core operational risk processes, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and mitigation.
  • Awareness of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the industry to ensure reporting aligns with regulatory expectations.
  • Familiarity with an organisation's control environment and how controls mitigate identified risks.
  • Prepare and present risk analytics and reports 
  • Provide effective business oversight by presenting key insights in a clear and actionable manner.
