We are recruiting for an exciting and engaging opportunity within the Group Billing and Revenue Assurance Team in Group Finance,reporting into the Global Director this role involves actively supporting the delivery of the strategy and objectives through global finance projects with particular focus on billing and revenue recognition.  

As a Billing Subject matter expert, you will be working with the regional businesses to understand and document use cases, requirements and processes and provide subject matter expertise to determine improvements, investigation into solution options, best practise processes,  and designs that are aligned with the agreed Experian strategy.

 

What you’ll be doing:

·        Work with line manager to prioritise objectives, billing strategy and project deliverables.  Help make decisions about the best way to implement the business requirements and business processes, which include process documentation, strategy papers, writing business cases and gap analysis work and best practise guidance material as well as delivery of efficient solutions to meet the needs of the business.

·        Serve as a subject matter expert on Billing including developing/implementing best practices, systems, processes, and tools; and liaising with 3rd party providers.

·        Support regional teams in developing billing business cases and proposal options ensuring alignment with the agreed global billing strategy.

·        Provide best practices and ongoing support to the business on how to leverage tools and systems and global standardisation of billing process and functionality as well as business process change.

·        Collect and create / document business billing requirements. Understand and interpret business requirements into standard capabilities and processes. Document the business objectives and business processes and translate business needs into actionable system development. 

·        Propose and document process and commercial standardisation that enables simpler automated solutions and processes.   

·        Work with 3rd-party consultants, Project Partners and EITS/GCSS and solution owners to translate requirements into functionality and process for solution design documents that can accomplish goals.

·        Act as the interface between business and technical teams.  Responsible for defining the requirements and agreeing solution design with tech lead and product manager, Prioritise feature backlog and development for the product.

·        Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure requirements are understood, properly estimated, and prioritized correctly. 

·        Ensure suitable handover from Project to Operations team including supporting documentation of user manuals and training for operational teams. Analyse, manage, iterate, and track the continued success of features in production.  

·        Provide ongoing troubleshooting of issues, partner with 3rd-party consultants, CoE, Project Partners and GCS resources to address issues, and raise data quality issues as necessary.

·        Proactively recommend process improvements and automation opportunities, initiating actions or projects for continuous improvement

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in Billing Processes and understanding of Systems, Payments processing and Revenue Assurance processes and solution implementation. 
  • Experience leading as Business Analyst and strong functional knowledge of Billing Solutions, processes, and operations.
  • Candidates should have both Business Analysis and Project Management skills with a good understanding of key finance processes and experience in the finance function of a multi-national company
  • Having worked with Aria billing solution is desirable  
  • Highly self-motivated, able to successfully manage internal and external business partnerships, and drive results in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical in their decision making, with a demonstrated ability to drive issues and projects to completion.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or equivalent will be desirable.
  • Good understanding of the end-to-end Prospect to Cash processes and solutions concepts.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Experience with documentation of Business Processes and Systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English – other languages would be helpful.
