Summary

Experian Consumer Services (ECS) is looking for an Expert Analyst. You will help ensure that we can plan for growth, work on track performance vs. budget, and make informed executive decisions backed by financial and strategic analysis.

You will drive yourself and consistently work toward operational excellence, always maintaining a customer‑centric mindset. You will succeed in fast‑paced environments, demonstrating problem‑solving skills—you gather the necessary facts to make informed decisions, yet you lead and propose solutions when the situation requires it.

This is an individual contributor role, and you will report directly to the Finance Manager.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide expert financial performance narratives, transforming complex data into clear, high‑level insights for senior audiences (written and verbal).
  • Partner with ECS Finance and non‑Finance teams to build and deliver financial information across BUR, QPR, and the broader Budget Cycle.
  • Manage and analyze ECS financial performance, including P&L, Balance Sheet views, and related governance requirements.
  • Support month‑end close activities, including preparing journal entries and contributing to FP&A processes (MMC, Budget, Restatements, Strategic Plan).
  • Oversee headcount reporting—especially contractors and outsourced roles—and lead monthly calls with onshore Finance and Business Partners to gather inputs for decision‑making.
  • Conduct ad‑hoc financial analyses, identify process improvement opportunities, and provide backup support for routine team deliverables.

Experience and Skills

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting.
  • Professional Experience: 8+ years of progressive finance experience, including month-end processes, forecasting, reporting modeling, fixed assets, GL and budget management.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiar with financial systems and tools such as Oracle, OBIEE, Tableau, Hyperion Planning/Essbase and SmartView.
  • Support finance professionals with a focus on customer service and responsiveness.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and P&L analysis.
  • Experience communicating analytical findings for a range of different audiences being able to work with all organizational levels, including senior leaders.
