We are looking for a hands-on, consultative Director of Operational & Technology Risk Management to join our Experian Software Solutions risk leadership team. This first line of defense role will partner with operational and technology management to ensure policies, standards, and controls are embedded, while promoting a culture of proactive, world-class risk management.

You will report to the Global Head of Risk Management- Experian Software Solutions. This is a remote position.

You will bring expertise in cloud computing, resilience, DevSecOps, and Agile technology practices, combined with the ability to translate risk principles into business-aligned outcomes.

You'll have opportunity to:

  • Be the primary risk advisor to operational and technology leaders, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and managed following global frameworks.
  • Embed resilient and secure-by-design practices across platforms, including observability, recovery, and DevSecOps principles.
  • Partner with engineering, platform services, and operations teams to translate policy requirements into practical, applicable controls.
  • Guide risk and control assessments, issue management, and reporting for operational processes, platforms, and services.
  • Collaborate with global risk teams to maintain understanding and transparency across the enterprise.
  • Monitor regulatory trends, cyber threats, and industry practices, advising leadership on possible effects and strategic responses.
  • Promote a risk culture by coaching leaders and teams to embrace accountability for risk.
  • Present clear insights and reporting to senior leadership, governance forums, and risk committees.

Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years' experience in operational or technology risk management within a large global SaaS, cloud platform, or technology company.
  • Experience with cloud computing (AWS preferred), platform engineering, and modern technology operating models.
  • Experience promoting Agile, DevSecOps, and Resilience-by-design practices.
  • Experience working in or alongside mature, regulated operating environments, with knowledge of best practice frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, and SOC2).
  • Background in operational risk, technology controls, and incident management.
  • Excellent partner management and ability to engage senior leaders and hands-on practitioners alike.
  • Experience simplifying complex risk topics for diverse audiences.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. You will be also eligible for a variable pay opportunity.
