The Data Strategy and Partnerships Director will drive Experian’s financial data strategy in North America and identify, develop, and optimize partnerships that enhance Experian’s financial data assets. This individual will navigate the dynamic financial data ecosystem to understand the key players, their relative strengths and capabilities and assess the right partners for Experian. This person will acquire new data sources, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, while working closely with cross-functional teams including product management, data governance, legal, and procurement.As a Director, Data Partnerships, you will be reporting to the SVP, Enterprise Data Strategy.

Experience and Skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential new financial data partnerships to enrich Experian’s data offerings.
  • Collaborate with strategy and product teams to align data acquisition efforts with business needs and strategic goals.
  • Oversee testing, licensing, and integration of new data assets into Experian’s systems.
  • Build and manage relationships with diverse data providers, including aggregators, Direct to Consumer companies, niche providers, and public data sources.
  • Negotiate and execute data licensing agreements and vendor contracts.
  • Proactively manage vendor compliance, renewals, and performance reviews.
  • Partner with legal and privacy teams to ensure data partnerships comply with relevant regulations and Experian standards.
  • Monitor data use to uphold privacy standards and mitigate risks.
  • Implement cost management initiatives to optimize ROI on data spend.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in data acquisition, partnerships, or a similar role within the marketing industry and/or financial services industry.
  • Deep understanding of consumer and financial data, including data assets and technology providers.
  • Proven success in negotiating complex agreements and managing vendor relationships.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders
