Summary

As a Controls Implementation Manager, you will report to the Senior Controls Implementation Manager and lead the implementation of critical controls across 1LOD and 2LOD teams. You will ensure their sustainability, aligning with Experian's risk appetite and driving continuous improvement. You will embed controls into business processes and help develop control frameworks.

Role responsibilities:

  • Manage the implementation and sustainability of critical controls across the enterprise, ensuring delivery aligned with priorities.
  • Provide line management and coaching to a team of two Control Implementation Leads, building capabilities to accomplish successful outcomes.
  • Partner with global and regional leaders to develop and execute control improvement plans that close gaps and enhance control quality and coverage.
  • Deliver expert guidance and challenge to 1LOD and 2LOD teams, advocating controls as enablers of risk management and ensuring clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Monitor progress and resolve blockers through structured planning, reporting, and partner engagement, ensuring a consistent and sustainable control environment.
  • Support transformation programs by contributing to the development of future-state control frameworks, policy agreement, and risk maturity improvements.

Experience and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Information Systems. A Master's degree or certifications as ideal.
  • 6–10 years of professional experience in risk management, internal controls, or audit functions, including 2–3 years leading transformation programs or implementing control frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and testing controls, with working knowledge of COSO and ISO 31000 frameworks; experience using RSA Archer is considered an asset.
  • Track record in process design and execution within complex, global environments, including cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze risk and control data, identify trends, and produce quantitative insights for senior-level decision-making.
  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams across time zones, applying structured problem-solving and analytical methodologies.
  • Background in consulting or technology-driven organizations, with direct involvement in continuous improvement, change management, or program delivery projects.
