Cloud Edge & Connectivity Engineer

As an Expert Cloud Network Engineer reporting to the Manager of Cloud Network Engineering, you will design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable, and resilient cloud networking solutions that support enterprise cloud adoption.

You will partner with Cloud Platform, Security, DevOps, and Application teams to build cloud-native networking services using automation and Infrastructure as Code. While this role is primarily focused on AWS cloud networking technologies, experience with Azure, GCP, or other cloud providers is also valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and support cloud networking solutions across multi-account, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Architect and manage cloud-native networking services including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Cloud WAN, Direct Connect, VPNs, Load Balancers, and security controls.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, Terraform, and related automation tools.
• Automate provisioning, deployment, and lifecycle management of cloud networking resources through CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Implement cloud networking security controls including AWS WAF, AWS Network Firewall, AWS Shield, and equivalent technologies.
• Troubleshoot network performance, availability, and connectivity issues while improving observability and operational efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop networking standards, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship on cloud networking technologies and solutions.

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering, cloud engineering, or infrastructure engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and supporting cloud networking solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with AWS networking services such as VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Direct Connect, Cloud WAN, VPN, Security Groups, and Load Balancers.
• Experience with Azure or other cloud networking platforms is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Experience with automation and scripting technologies such as Python.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking architecture, routing, DNS, TCP/IP, network segmentation, and high-availability design.
• Experience implementing cloud-native security controls and governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud automation.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
• Azure Network Engineer Associate or equivalent cloud certifications.
• Experience supporting multi-cloud environments and cloud transformation initiatives.
