We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Cloud Center of Excellence and help build the foundation of our next-generation cloud services modular platform. This role is central to enabling scalable, resilient, and automated cloud infrastructure that supports our engineering teams and accelerates business innovation.

About the Role:

As a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer, you will design and implement modular cloud components using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation frameworks, and reusable templates. You'll work with platform architects and application teams to ensure our cloud services are loosely coupled, stateless, and aligned with cloud-native principles. Your work will directly improve our ability to deliver faster, more reliable, and cost-effective solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You will report to the Senior Manager Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and maintain modular cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible and Python
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes to reduce manual effort and improve consistency.
  • Develop reusable code libraries and service templates to standardize platform capabilities across teams and environments.
  • Implement governance, observability, and compliance controls through automated policies and service interfaces.
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and service interfaces for platform capabilities, ensuring scalability and security.
  • Support basic frontend development tasks to create intuitive dashboards and improve developer experience.
  • Work with UX/UI teams to ensure seamless integration between backend services and frontend components.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to continuously evolve platform capabilities and improve developer experience.
  • Ensure platform scalability, resilience, and cost optimization through iterative design and performance tuning.
  • Standardize, automate the provisioning, and support aspects as reusable cloud services and interfaces

Experience and Skills

  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI
  • Strong background in automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Deep understanding of modular architecture, service interfaces, and cloud-native design patterns.
  • Extensive hands-on professional experience writing production Infrastructure as Code: Cloudformation and Terraform
  • Proficient in automation and scripting using Ansible, Python and AWS/Azure SDKs and CLIs
  • Background in Linux/Unix and/or Windows administration
  • Understand Authentication & Authorization Services, Identity & Access Management
  • Understanding of AWS/Azure Cloud Networking and core Internet Protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and routing in distributed networks
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure project with hands-on migration expertise on public clouds such as AWS and Azure
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity organization practices, operations, risk management processes, principles, architectural requirements, engineering and threats and vulnerabilities, including incident response methodologies
  • Experience in API design and development (RESTful), including security and versioning best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support integration with internal developer portal.

Cloud Certifications: (Candidates with any below certifications will be beneficial)

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-300 & AZ-301) - Expert
  • Azure DevOps Engineer (AZ-400) - Expert
