Business Development Lead, Strategy– Experian Marketing Solutions
The Business Development Lead, Strategy will lead the development and execution of key strategic and business development partnerships that support the Strategy team and EMS’ strategic initiatives. The Business Development Lead, Strategy will work with the internal Strategy, Product and Sales teams to help create key partnerships & external relationships in order to extend Experian’s product offerings and capabilities. Strategic initiatives requiring partnership may include but are not limited to:
• New channels and markets
• New product development
• Data strategy
• Distribution
Responsibilities
Internal:
- Contribute to development of group’s strategic initiatives and priorities
- Work with Strategy, Sales and Product teams to determine key gaps in our products and solutions and identify what can be delivered through partners.
- Identify key strategy partnerships and craft agreements to deliver cutting edge solutions and products
- Determine which types of partners to pursue given strategic priorities and lead the development and presentation of business case and value proposition for each new partner contemplated
- Lead the identification of partner opportunities, market sizing, and estimated revenue
- Work with the Experian marketing organization to help create joint marketing opportunities between Experian and partners
- Work with Experian pricing, Compliance, Legal and other teams to develop commercial terms, secure internal approvals, and successfully deliver signed contracts
- Work with Experian leadership and M&A teams to identify potential candidates for investment/acquisition and determine commercial opportunities

External:
- Identification and development of new revenue streams and product development opportunities with partners who fit strategic criteria
- Develop a partner ecosystem around EMS products and services
- Identify 3rd party partners capable of complimenting Experian's core competencies and explore potential for development of new products or services
- Lead contract negotiations and manage partner reseller, referral and teaming agreements including baseline terms and conditions that govern the relationship
- Focus on laying the foundation for large, long-term strategic programs while still recognizing and supporting near-term revenue opportunities
- Create a system for prioritizing, tracking, and maintaining partnership discussions
- Provide senior level support for the alliance, ensuring fair and rapid conflict resolution, facilitate executive support and communication and conduct results and operations review
- Manage the strategic alliance governance process and ensure quarterly business reviews and other governance processes are implemented as needed
- Work with Program Manager to execute tasks necessary to partnership formation, tracking, and governance
- Execute regular partnership status calls with focus on revenue generation
- Establish senior level relationships with key decision makers at companies across the ecosystem. (Included targeted, existing, and potential partners)

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- MBA preferred
- 3-5+ years of experience in the Marketing Technology industry with a focus on digital marketing technology
- Proven experience in successful sales/business development negotiations, complex organizational wide problem solving, due diligence, and financial/forecast modeling
- Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, consult, build consensus, and communicate priorities and expectations across multiple business stakeholders in a matrix environment
- Strategic thinker (“futurist outlook”) coupled with ability to roll up sleeves
