Solutions Development Director, EMEA

The Solutions Director - EMEA is a key senior leadership role at Experian that sets strategy, directs and delivers Solutions and Products development within the Data and Credit Services Function. This role reports directly to the CIO for EMEA and will be accountable for managing, directly and indirectly,  a number of critical departments of approx 400 people in total (FTE and contingent workforce), driving their evolution towards an agile operating model and ways of working. Among others, the successful applicant will also be responsible for maintaining the application ecosystem (2nd and 3rd line of support) and driving application rationalization, modernization and transformation.

  • We count on you to achieve these following tasks:Provide and deliver against the vision and direction for the Solutions function with strategic plan and roadmap in place with capabilities to deliver via a highly functioning solution team covering projects and support.
  • Create scale in EMEA CoE Dev and Test functions with proactive capacity plannings.
  • Re-organise EMEA Dev and Test teams to better optimise capabilities
  • Ensure that our sourcing strategy is aligned to the global strategy.
  • Refine and extend the use of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery capability across all EMEA Solutions teams – mature, embed and operationalise across all teams.
  • Establish robust App Support and Maintenance process for all EMEA perimeter.
  • Ensure estimation, planning and delivery is properly managed/coordinated for all Strategic Programmes and projects
  • Actively manage key Market Stakeholders to ensure Market’s are well supported and minimise escalations.
  • Actively manage key EMEA and Global  Stakeholders to ensure alignment with global standards and best practice.
  • Ensure all IT Platforms/solutions are well documented.
  • Eliminate all key person dependencies and ensure proper succession plan in place for all critical roles.
  • Effective management of EMEA Solutions team resulting in positive improvement of engagement survey results with capability and performance management models in place
  • Management of the Solution budget covering operational and capital costs
  • Effective and proactive Management of the Solution estate including platforms, products and application, rationalizing where possible to meet the strategy and business plan
  • MBA preferred, Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in similar roles in multinational environments
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (C1 - Advanced level)
  • Proven track record of leading product development and cross-functional IT teams
  • Strong IT development Experience in Agile environments (at least 5 years of experience)
  • DevOps Experience
  • Strong People and Operational Management Experience
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills being able to demonstrate leadership at all times including when under pressure.
  • Stakeholder management skills (Both up and down organisation/clients)
  • Strong financial literacy to forecast and manage departmental budgets, costs and revenue.
  • Deliver with a Customer focus.
  • Strong organisational skills, time-management and ability to multi-task.
  • Good commercial awareness with an understanding of business drivers/metrics/key performance indicators.
  • Able to delegate and maintain control
  • Excellent resource planning and management skills.
  • Ability to drive the technical requirements to deliver market leading service.
  • Able to negotiate with and influencing both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to Network effectively
  • Ability to advocate and instil cultural improvement, discipline and communications.
  • Ability to encourage innovation.
  • Ability to achieve improvements in delivery quality, staff motivation and role flexibility and can operate equally well at strategic or operational levels.
