Senior Solutions Analyst

Key Responsibilities
  1. Requirements, Analysis and Design
  • Attend and contribute to or lead design and review process as appropriate with guidance, supervision from Product Consultancy.
  • Provide insight to solution design impacts on delivery and make recommendations for ease of delivery and support.
  • Understands product capabilities/limitations and applies to the solution design.
  • Produce project business and functional design specifications under supervision.
  • Supervise the creation of comprehensive test plans as well as the execution of said test plan in conjunction with or without a Test Manager.
2. Project Delivery
  • Support project manager in assessing, planning and organising project workload to meet project commitments within agreed schedules, including own workload and that of others.
  • Support project delivery workloads on a day-to-day basis, including liaison with insource/outsource resource while ensuring documented procedures are followed, including maintenance of project documentation.
  • Takes Ownership of project issues and works towards a resolution of these with the support of a consultant
  • Is accountable for the quality of the project deliverables, and that the deliverables match the agreed specification.
  • Prepare reports for the Project Manager which they can use to communicate
  • Proactively identify potential risks in achieving project timescales, taking all possible action to minimise risk.
3. Teamwork and Leadership
  • Supervise, where required, the people responsible for the delivery effort by taking the lead in specific projects/support activity, ensuring that a best practice approach is taken in all situations
  • Acts as a mentor to project team members, guiding and developing Analysts and Solution Analysts.
  • Input into regular appraisals and Personal Development Plans for project team,
  • Ensure communication of project issues and foster team spirit and mutual co-operation.
 
 
 
4. Client Communication
  • With the Project Manager, help to manage project communication.
  • Meet with clients to present results, conclusions and recommendations.
  • Lead client project reviews and delivery meetings.
  • Support the Project Manager in managing the client, ensuring that client commitments are understood and met as part of the project.
  • Manage client expectations at client peer level.
  • Produce and deliver meaningful content to capability teams through professional service communities

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years related experience.
Skills
  • Experience of delivering numerous complex software solutions across multiple industry verticals.
  • Advanced in the use of software configuration tools and general purpose IT packages and also the practice of Test Planning and supervising the execution of detailed test cases plus providing support documentation.
  • Will have worked in the capacity of Test Lead.
  • Responsible for upkeep and addition to Test (best practice) and for spreading the knowledge about tools/processes that expedite test activity/success
  • Understanding of systems, processes, applications and technology and how they support/impact solutions.
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills, good presentation capabilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English.
  • Availability to travel.
