This is a great opportunity for the right person to join a dynamic analytics team within our Consumer Services business. We are looking for an experienced senior analyst to join our Free value stream, the group that manages Experian’s Free credit score product.

This is an exciting and challenging role which will be at the centre of our drive to use data analytics to extract insights from the data we collect about our customers’ interactions with us to inform business decisions.  It will expose you to leading technologies and infrastructure and give you the opportunity to improve your skills in big data, data science and business intelligence.  You will be responsible for creating actionable insights to support our Free credit score business, helping them to drive consumer engagement and revenue growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
As a member of the team you will:
  • Work closely with the Free team to create insights to support product and commercial initiatives.
  • Design and execute deep dives into product feature performance to keep the team abreast of the commercial impact of features.
  • Define and own analytics requirements for new feature builds, ensuring all elements of the product can be accurately tracked and reported back to the business. 
  • Regularly feedback insights on the performance of new product features, providing recommendations for next steps.
  • Develop predictive models to drive engagement campaigns and marketing strategies.
  • Drive business reporting and dashboards using tools like Microstrategy, Google Data Studio and Google BigQuery.
  • Provide in depth analysis of product and customer engagement, customer behaviours and revenues generated.
  • Provide insight on website performance, funnels, customer journeys and online behaviours.
  • Support the wider Analytics community within Experian as and when required, particularly knowledge sharing and collaboration with other analytical teams.
  • Actively engage with stakeholders to deliver insight and inform strategy and decision making.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of your own work.

Knowledge & Experience
You will probably have a first degree and possibly a higher degree in a subject with significant mathematical or computing and data analysis content. This could be in mathematics, the physical sciences, computer science, social sciences, data science, economics or statistics. 
You will also have:
  • Curiosity and a knack for problem solving.
  • The ability to act on your own initiative to drive analyses to an actionable conclusion.
  • Worked in a consumer facing e-commerce business. 
  • Knowledge of and experience in experimentation using techniques such as A/B testing
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Good knowledge of mathematical modelling, statistical inference and machine learning.
  • Significant experience of one or more of SQL, R or Python.
  • Had some exposure to web analytics (using tools such as Google Analytics) and mobile app analytics (using tools such as MixPanel)
  • Extensive experience with business intelligence and data visualisation tools such as Microstrategy, Tableau etc.
  • Excellent communication skills to get your message across to technical and non-technical audiences in speech, in writing and in formal presentations.
