Data Modeling Senior Analyst - Consumer Services

This is a great opportunity to work as an Analyst in a dynamic analytics function within our Analytics Centre of Expertise (CoE) serving the Experian Consumer Services’ (ECS) business. There has been significant investment within the Analytics CoE and as a result, this is an exciting time to join the team. This role will expose the Analyst to leading technologies and infrastructure with the opportunity to improve their skills in big data, data science and new analytical methodologies.

 

You will be predominantly responsible for creating actionable insights to support Experian’s Free business, helping them to drive growth, engagement and revenue.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

As a member of the team you will:

  • Collaborate closely with the Free team to create insights to support product and commercial initiatives.
  • Develop predictive models to drive campaigns and marketing strategies using statistical techniques.
  • Create and own regular business reports and dashboards using Microstrategy.
  • Provide in depth analysis on product, customer engagement, behaviours and revenues generated.
  • Provide insight on website performance, funnels, customer journeys and online behaviours.
  • Support the wider Analytics COE as and when required, particularly knowledge sharing and collaboration with other analytical teams.
  • Embrace and champion the use of cloud computing and big data technologies for Analytics
  • Attend, support and contribute to stakeholder meetings, including presenting results, conclusions and recommendations in both written and verbal form.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of your own work.
  • Self-starters who can show initiative and drive
  • With the support of their line manager and other team members, able to drive their own development
  • Able to seek feedback to improve skills, knowledge and competencies.
  • Actively looking to develop competency in and knowledge of new tools and techniques in relation to Big data analytics and data science.
  • Willing to take on additional responsibility.
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Good knowledge of mathematical modelling techniques
  • Proficient in one or more of SQL, R or Python
  • Had some exposure to web analytics (using tools such as Google Analytics)
  • Experience with BI/data visualisation tools (Microstrategy, Tableau etc.)
  • Ability to communicate clearly in written reports and presenting technical work
  • The ability to take responsibility for personal organisation and time management
  • An inquisitive mind, focused on addressing and solving data and analytical problems
  • Able to work collaboratively in teams
  • Knowledge of machine learning, big data and data science
  • Knowledge of Java or other scripting/programming languages
  • Understanding of data warehousing with big data platform exposure a bonus

We are looking for people who are:

 

Qualifications

 

A degree in a subject with significant mathematical or computing content for example Mathematics, Physical Science, Computer Science, Social Sciences, Data Science, Economics and Statistics. A higher degree in one of these subjects will be a distinct advantage.

 

Knowledge & Experience

 

We are looking for people who have:

  • Strong data analysis skills
