JOB DESCRIPTION Director of Product Management, Fraud and Identity Platform | Data Analytics


The Product Management Director will provide leadership and focus in defining, launching and managing the Fraud & Identity platform in North America. They will have responsibility for one or more products and propositions and the complete product lifecycle. This includes market requirements, commercial justification, development, go to market, and revenue achievement for their responsibilities in the Experian North America market.  They will successfully manage and develop several direct reports.

 

This individual will be recognized and trusted as a product and industry expert by Experian’s consultants, sales and delivery personnel. This role may include both inbound and outbound activities and will require him/her to work closely with the Decision Analytics Global Product Management team to ensure market requirements & Voice of Clients are incorporated in product roadmaps and go-to-market materials.

Key Responsibilities 


Collaborate with clients, partners, and other Fraud & Identity Solutions teams including Global Product Management, Technology, Sales, Sales Engineering, Implementation, and others in order to drive product propositions through the full lifecycle of product development and launch. Steps include but are not limited to: Market Problems; Market Definition; Win/Loss Analysis; Distinctive Competence; Distribution Strategy; and more. Develops, plans, directs and controls strategic short and long term financial and operational goals and objectives for Experian’s Fraud & Identity platform – CrossCore.

 
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the VP of Product Management to develop a platform roadmap and vision.
  • Accountable for longer-term shadow P&L performance and strategy for Experian’s CrossCore product: https://www.experian.com/decision-analytics/crosscore-fraud-prevention-platform
  • Product-level execution
  • Identifies market problems
  • Reviews and approves product backlogs
  • Sets product-level priorities
  • Interfaces with development and architecture teams as needed
  • Interfaces with other functional groups as needed to execute product plans (marketing, finance/accounting, training, etc.)
  • May manage one or more product managers or product analysts (team of  up to 5 people)
  • Represents product in all senior level interactions internally and externally

Skills and Qualifications

 

Industry Knowledge:
  • Advanced knowledge of product management fundamentals and go to market processes for B2B software.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience from one of the following areas preferred: fraud prevention and risk management, B2B fraud prevention technology services, financial services, online retail and e-commerce, and/or other similar fields
  • Voice of Customers/Clients of how they have implemented Workflow and Orchestration software in the Fraud space. 
  • Payments, credit or fraud risk policy, data management and analytics experience a plus.
Product Lifecycle Management:
  • Excellent understanding of software product development processes
  • Overall 8-10 or more years of experience in product management of software or technical products preferred
  • 5-7 years of managerial experience and leading Teams
  • Experience with agile product development and software-as-a-service are a plus.
  • Commercial Discipline: Proven track record successfully managing products to meet aggressive growth targets; ability to develop and manage product pricing strategies.
  • Strategy: proven skills to develop, communicate and execute successful product strategies and initiatives.
  • Product Marketing: author and contribute to product collateral; collaborate with the marketing team to ensure product marketing plans and initiatives are successfully executed; if needed, ability to effectively play a senior role in sales activities (e.g. present the products, answer questions, and discuss product roadmap
  • Clear ability to successfully collaborate with and influence senior executives across the business.
 Competencies
  • Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
  • Track record of effective delivery in a fast-growing business.
  • Very strong organizational and project management skills
  • A strong team player and high performer in a demanding environment.
  • Superb oral and written communication skills. Capable of presenting to senior Experian and client executives, and at industry conferences.
  • Highly motivated and independent
  • Very good influencing and consultancy skills.
 
Education
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree, ideally in role-relevant field. MA/MS/MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Desired: Pragmatic Marketing or similar product management certification.
