Experian have a great new opportunity for a UK Payroll Supervisor to join the UK&I Payroll team.

Experian offer a comprehensive employee benefits scheme, so if you like being involved in all technical aspects of payroll i.e. pension schemes, LTIPs, share schemes, tax and payroll systems etc. then this role for you! We have a small but hands-on team of 4 who work collaboratively to pay 3,500 UK&I employees on a monthly basis. Our team’s goal is to accurately and efficiently pay employees in a timely manner.


So, what experience are we looking for?

  • In-depth knowledge of statutory legislation relating to PAYE, National Insurance and Statutory Payments
  • Detailed knowledge of employment law where this impacts on payroll
  • Strong ability to identify and drive improvements and automation to processes 


This role would suit those who can demonstrate the following personal attributes;

  • Ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and able to influence agreement through persuasion, negotiation and promotion of ideas
  • Demonstrated team management capability; managing and developing a Payroll Administrator
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions and handle complex and conflicting requests in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to effectively prioritise actions and resolve conflict
  • Ability to manage and develop a small team
  • Customer service focused

Technical experience / qualifications we require:

  • IPP Diploma in Payroll Management, is desirable
  • Exceptional knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office i.e. Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUP) and Access
  • Demonstrated experience in a large, complex, internal payroll environment
