Business Analyst - MI Specialist - FTC

The Business Analyst will form a vital part of the Results Delivery Office and be responsible for a) ensuring best practice delivery processes are documented and understood for all workstream activities b) creating& maintaining reporting dashboards and managing the operating rhythm for KPI reporting c) developing enabling MI to optimise move groups and waves for programme execution d) developing MI to provide business intelligence on each workstream d) tracking burn down and earned vale and recommending operational improvements e) collaborating across the Technology Modernisation & ITSM  workstreams to maintain alignment and optimise execution.  The engagement will initially be for Wave A (six months through end of FY21) with review as part of Wave B planning.


Application Transformation Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities


  • Solicit information from key stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and/or existing systems documentation or procedures
  • Map out the operating model processes & RACI for all Application Transformation execution workstreams using various analysis techniques such as data flow modelling and workflow analysis
  • Use available systems e.g. ServiceNow to industrialise workflows
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of the existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
  • Train stakeholders on adoption of processes and tools
  • Lead the effort to develop, collect and analyze metrics and continually improve processes owned by the business unit
  • Improve data quality of product, application and server information in the source systems
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets for business decisions
  • Build dashboards and provide MI on progress against the KPIs in a consistent and timely manner
  • Produces reporting packs for departmental meetings and UK&I committees on Programme’s KPis.

  • Operational knowledge of ServiceNow ServiceNow workflows
  • Highly proficient in data analysis tools and report development (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Excel)
  • Strong skills in SQL and relational database technology.
  • Technical expertise and ability to quickly understand data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Strong ETL skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Process management, project tracking, and strategic thinking.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills.
